Transferring Pokemon from 3DS to Pokemon Home.

What you need

A modded 3DS → Guide
Pokémon Bank and compatible Pokémon games → Guide
For region-changed 3DS consoles : SOAP Transfer → Guide
A Nintendo Network ID (NNID) that you connect to the 3DS (does not have to be the same as on your Switch)

1. You need a save file in a Pokémon game where you have unlocked the Pokédex .

2. Once the Pokédex is unlocked, upload all the Pokémon you want to transfer to your PC .

3. Open Pokémon Bank and select "Use Pokémon Bank" .

4. Next, select the Pokémon game you want to use.

5. Now drag the Pokémon you want to transfer into the online box .

6. Press X to save .

7. Then select “Transfer to Pokémon HOME” .

8. A warning will appear stating that the Pokémon can no longer be transferred back to the 3DS – confirm with "Continue" .

9. Press A to select which boxes you want to transfer.

10. You will now be asked for your transfer password . You can find this in Pokémon HOME on your Switch – enter it there.

11. Then press "Next" to start the transfer. Your Pokémon will now be transferred to the Switch .

In this example, I simply transferred a pair of the starters from gen 1 - 7.
